RINA Group, a leading provider of inspection, certification, and engineering consultancy, has announced the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding MoU with PTT Public Company Limited, Thailand's national energy company, through the PTT Innovation Institute, its research and innovation center.
The agreements facilitate collaboration between the two companies in research and knowledge exchange activities. These activities are intended to support innovation, sustainability, and technological development, and have the potential to be applied in the energy, maritime transport, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
Rina Consulting will provide its expertise in engineering consultancy, while Rina Services will operate in the fields of certification, verification, and naval classification. All activities will be conducted in accordance with internationally recognised principles of competence, impartiality, and conflict of interest management
.In this context, RINA and PTT InI will collaborate on subjects including alternative and sustainable aviation fuels, naval electrification, digitalisation, CO₂ management solutions, hydrogen readiness and the use of refrigeration energy in data centres and small modular reactors. Cooperation may also extend to training and skills development initiatives.

Meanwhile, RINA hosted a three-day training programme at its Open Innovation Hub in Rome for students on the Executive Master in Business Administration for Innovation (EMBAIN). This international programme, developed by MIB Trieste School of Management, equips managers, professionals and researchers with the skills needed to address the challenges of innovation, markets and business transformation.
The program covered every stage of the innovation journey, from research and experimentation to technology validation and the development of use cases and sustainable business models. Training sessions were combined with discussions with RINA experts and guided visits to the site's research and testing facilities
