After the strike at the end of October, workers at Tirrenia Cin and Moby will again be on strike, this time for two days. A new strike was jointly called by Federmar Cisal, Ugl Mare, and USB following the announcement, in a meeting with company management, of "approximately 350 redundancies among seafarers, with no reliable figures for administrative staff." This was a result of the planned auction sale of five of the group's ferries and the decision to discontinue the Naples-Palermo line starting next week according to Shipping Italy
These actions, the unions wrote, lamenting the lack of bridging solutions, "are resulting in an employment crisis for hundreds of workers, many of whom have stable employment contracts."

A statement from Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, and Uiltrasporti, meanwhile, explained that regarding ground staff, "the company has confirmed its willingness to evaluate retirement plans for workers who are close to meeting the requirements and the possible use of the Solimare social safety net.
The unions reiterated their priority of relocating the 14 workers currently employed on the line to the potential incoming company, while in the meantime, employees will be able to use their accrued vacation time. The parties have agreed to maintain ongoing discussions and to reconvene after the outcome of the tender process, scheduled for December 3rd."

Following preliminary meetings and the failure to accept the union's proposals, the labor unions denounced the risk of a job catastrophe and maintained the state of disruption. The strike will be carried out in accordance with Law 146/1990, which guarantees a minimum level of essential services
It is noteworthy that the national strike by seafarers of the Tirrenia Cin and Moby shipping lines—called by the independent trade unions Federmar-Cisal, Ugl Mare, USB, and Orsa Marittimi—It happened from October 24th to the following day.
The strike involved all Italian ports and affects both seagoing and administrative personnel. Repercussions are expected on maritime connections between the Italian mainland and the major islands, particularly Sardinia and Sicily, with cancellations and delays, despite compliance with the minimum standards required by the legislation on essential public services.
