The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection luxury cruise line has announced the appointment of Ernesto Fara as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Fara succeeds Jim Murren, who will continue to play an active role as executive chairman, the company stated in a press release. Murren, who had been CEO since 2023, will remain with Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection as executive chairman.

In 2020 as CFO and a member of the Board of Directors

Fara joined The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in 2020 as CFO and a member of the Board of Directors, bringing extensive luxury cruise industry leadership experience in business development, sales, marketing, and operations. He oversaw corporate strategy and financial operations before being promoted to President in 2023. As President, Fara led guest experience, operations, finance, sales, marketing, and technology. As CFO, he oversaw the development and financing of the company's new yachts, Ilma and Luminara, launched in September 2024 and July 2025.
