The latest development is the arrival in the port of Livorno for the christening ceremony, which will be held on November 7th at the group's shipyard. A new 100-ton AHTSV (Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel) from Bollard Pull, recently purchased and renamed Nos Leo (formerly Nor Solan), is due to arrive. This offshore vessel, built in 2015, will be deployed off the coast of Sicily to provide assistance to Eni's drilling platforms, as well as perform firefighting and anti-pollution duties according to Shipping Italy
The vessel's name
The vessel's name combines the acronym NOS (Neri Offshore Service) with Leo, a tribute to a family tradition that links the names of naval vessels to the zodiac signs of members of the Neri family. The new contract with Eni, signed at the end of the summer, marks a significant international agreement for the Livorno-based group, already active in the offshore sector with other clients. Specifically, the NOS Leo will be deployed to support Eni's platforms off the coast of Licata and Gela.
Nos Leo, previously operated by its previous owner in Northern Europe, in the Shetland Islands area, will now fly the Italian flag and have an entirely Italian crew. Following the christening ceremony in Livorno, it will officially enter service for Eni in mid-November.

This new addition for Fratelli Neri also adds to the recent agreement signed by President Piero Neri in Egypt with Misr Tugboats Factory for the purchase of two Rastar 3200-W tugs with 90 tons of bollard pull and ASD (Azimuth Stern Drive) propulsion systems. Misr Tugboats Factory is an industrial entity of Egypt Yachts, itself a partnership between the Suez Canal Authority and the South Red Sea Shipyard.
The signing ceremony of the construction contract in Ismailia

jIt is no coincidence that Admiral Ossama Rabiee, President and CEO of the Suez Canal Authority, attended the signing ceremony of the construction contract in Ismailia between the shipyard (represented by Mostafa El-Dougishy, CEO of Egypt Yachts) and the Fratelli Neri group. He was also attended by Admiral Ashraf Atwa, Vice President of the Suez Canal Authority, along with several members of the board of directors and senior officials of the Suez Canal Authority, and Engineer Hassan Kamal, Vice President of Egypt Yachts.
A statement of (SCA)
A statement from the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) explains that "Admiral Rabiee emphasized that this contract is considered a testament of confidence, reflecting the success of the SCA's efforts to localize maritime industries and elevate the 'Made in Egypt' slogan to world-class quality, higher and through broader horizons, opening up to the entire world." According to Rabiee, the launch of exports abroad marks a new and unprecedented achievement, restoring leadership to the national shipyards and contributing to their return to regional competition. He also emphasized that the Misr Tugboats Factory has demonstrated a successful model of partnership with the private sector and has managed to achieve its strategic objectives by exporting abroad in a record time of no more than a year and a half."
Two tugs ordered by F.lli Neri

The delivery of these two tugs ordered by F.lli Neri "is scheduled for the first quarter of next year, God willing," the statement reads, "in parallel with the ongoing construction of the 12-class tugs for the Suez Canal Authority. This is in addition to the planned construction of 12 deep-sea fishing vessels equipped with the most modern fishing systems, cleaning and flash-freezing technologies, and ample storage capacity."
The beginning of a joint collaboration
On this occasion, Piero Neri, president of the Livorno-based group of the same name, expressed his satisfaction with the finalization of the contract with the Suez Canal Authority, which marks the beginning of a joint collaboration between the two parties. He hopes that the near future will see further collaboration through new projects and contracts that meet the needs of the Neri Group.
