A new connection dedicated to the loading and transport of rolling cargo for the Vado Ligure Reefer Terminal, part of the Vado Gateway port system.- Italy
According to the terminal operator, the new connection operated by Blue Lines (based in Naples and headed by Libyan entrepreneurs Rodwan El Magrebi and Mohamed Ghola Aimen) is scheduled to launch at the end of last October. The connection will connect the Vado Ligure terminal with the port of Misurata in Libya.
Three Lo-Lo and Ro-Ro vessels
The Lider Trabzon, the first of three Lo-Lo and Ro-Ro vessels measuring between 129.10 metres (Marin) and 147 metres (Lider Trabzon and Lider Haluk), will dock at the Vado Ligure terminal's rolling stock berth (200 metres wide), according to a note from Reefer Terminal.
The launch of this new connection dedicated to rolling stock highlights Reefer Terminal's flexibility in handling a variety of goods: from fruit, the terminal's historic core business, to oversized cargo, from containers that don't require temperature control, to rolling stock," said Santi Casciano, CEO of Vado Gateway and Reefer Terminal.

"We are working to further grow our rolling stock business, both in export and import," Casciano continued, "by relying not only on a dedicated 200-meter-wide quay, but also on a dedicated car park in the yard with a total capacity of 800 vehicles. All this while maintaining our historic role as a Reefer Terminal for the handling of fruit and vegetables, for which we are a leader in the Mediterranean."
With the Algerian ports
