The Port of Seattle enters 2026 with momentum from major achievements in 2025, including progress on decarbonization initiatives, expansion of shore power infrastructure, and advancement of the Maritime Innovation Center at Fishermen’s Terminal. This year marks several defining moments as the Port prepares for global events like this summer’s FIFA World Cup and advances the master planning process for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) — critical steps to ensure the region is ready for future opportunity.

Fostering habitat restoration

These efforts support the Port’s long-term strategy to meet the region’s growth while reducing emissions, fostering habitat restoration, and creating pathways to family-wage jobs in maritime and aviation industries.
