CMA CGM's TUX container service, which connects several Turkish and US ports, will also call at Salerno in Italy The French company announced this, noting that the first call at the Campania port will take place on February 2nd and will be operated by the CMA CGM Lapis, a vessel with a capacity of 4,360 TEU. The new rotation of the connection will therefore be: Iskenderun – Aliaga – Istanbul – Piraeus – Salerno – New York – Norfolk – Savannah.
According to CMA CGM, one of the strengths of the updated service will be the rapid transit time offered between Salerno and New York, equal to 10 days The inclusion of the Campania port, the company added, "will support the stability of our network" and "ensure continued service efficiency on the transatlantic route," particularly strengthening trade between southern Italy and the East Coast of the United

On the other hand following the recent announcement issued by local transport trade associations, we are receiving notifications from our suppliers regarding the introduction of a surcharge for the Congestion Fee to/from the ports of Naples and Salerno. The so-called "Congestion Fee Surcharge" will be applied to the aforementioned ports as follows: Amount: Euro 80.00 for each container transported by truck .
