New deployments for Carnival Venezia and Carnival Firenze between the Caribbean, South America and the East Coast of the United States

Carnival Cruise Line is strengthening its "Fun Italian Style" project in 2027, expanding it to new destinations and expanding the deployment of its ships. The format, introduced in 2023, combines Carnival's product with Italian-inspired design, dining, and entertainment elements and is currently focused on Carnival Venezia and Carnival Firenze, both from the Costa Cruises fleet.

The most significant change

The most significant change concerns Carnival Firenze. Currently operating from Long Beach, the ship will embark on a series of repositioning cruises to South America, with 14- and 16-night itineraries visiting Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. This is an unusual deployment for the brand, allowing Carnival to serve emerging markets with a medium-capacity vessel and a differentiated product.

 A regular service

At the end of February 2027, the Florence will reach Florida, where she will enter regular service for the first time. From there, she will operate cruises ranging from 4 to 13 nights to the Western, Eastern, and Southern Caribbean, as well as the Bahamas. The spring season will conclude in mid-May, before a new transfer to the northeast coast of the United States.

For summer 2027,

For summer 2027, the ship will be based in New York, with its home base in Manhattan. The program includes itineraries to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda, and Canada/New England, with a combination of short cruises and longer voyages, designed to meet a highly diversified demand.

At the same time, Carnival Venezia will conclude its winter operations in Florida and move to Miami, where it will be deployed year-round starting in late May 2027. From Florida's main cruise port, the ship will offer 6- and 8-night cruises in the Western, Eastern, and Southern Caribbean, consolidating the presence of the Italian Style concept in one of the group's strategic hubs.

Carnival aims to expanding their geographic reach

Both ships have been adapted to Carnival standards, maintaining interiors and settings inspired by Venice and Florence. The goal is not only aesthetic, but also commercial: to offer a recognizable and distinctive product in highly competitive markets, without sacrificing the brand's typical operational structure and volumes.

Carnival aims to maximize the use of former Costa ships, expanding their geographic reach and leveraging the Italian theme as a differentiator in the main demand areas of the Americas.
