Piraeus Port Authority S.A. participated once again with a strong presence at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2025), held in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November 2025, highlighting the strategic importance of the Port of Piraeus in Greece-China cooperation, as well as its role as an international hub for trade, tourism and development in the broader Mediterranean region.
The CIIE is held annually by the Ministry of Commerce of China and brings together businesses from hundreds of countries, serving as a leading platform for international trade.
The senior management of PPA S.A., led by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Su Xudong and Deputy CEO Cpt. Jin Beiyuan, represented the company at the “Trade in Services” booth, where the multifaceted operations of the Port of Piraeus in commercial and shipping activities were showcased. PPA’s booth offered visitors an interactive experience through touch screens, highlighting the Company’s services, achievements and sustainable initiatives.
During the Expo, PPA S.A. executives presented the Organization’s projects and activities, emphasizing the positive financial results of 2025, including increased revenue and profitability, green initiatives under the ESG strategy and significant developments in the Cruise Sector.
PPA’s booth attracted the interest of high-ranking visitors, including the Deputy Minister of Commerce of China, top executives from COSCO SHIPPING and representatives of the international business community. The booth was also visited by the Consul General of Greece in Shanghai, Mr. Spyridon Kritikos, accompanied by senior officials of the consulate.

On 7th of November, PPA S.A. organized a dedicated event to promote the Piraeus Cruise Terminal activity, during which the Organization also presented its initiatives and strategy on ESG matters. The event was attended by approximately 70 interested partners and business collaborators and was live streamed via COSCO SHIPPING’s social media channels, further enhancing the Port’s international visibility.
This year’s edition was particularly significant for PPA S.A., as the Company was recognized for its eight consecutive years of participation in the CIIE, receiving the distinction “8-year CIIE Attendee”, which confirms its long-standing commitment to strengthening international trade relations and promoting sustainable and innovative practices.

Through its consistent presence at the CIIE, PPA S.A. actively contributes to further reinforcing the economic ties between Greece and China, showcasing Piraeus as a model of a modern, green and competitive port with a key role in the global transport and trade network, confirming Piraeus’ strong position in the international maritime and commercial arena and its role as a leading pillar of cooperation between China and Europe.
