Next Geosolutions, a Marnavi subsidiary active in the field of marine geosciences and offshore construction support services, has announced that it has been awarded a new contract by Saipem in the oil & gas segment, worth approximately €8.5 million, for various survey and support to installation activities for the development of the Bouri Gas Utilization (BGUP) project, one of the most important offshore projects in North Africa.
The use of two specialized vessels
The contract involves the use of two specialized vessels (the NG Worker and the NG Surveyor) to perform offshore Touch Down Monitoring activities, using Work Class ROVs, and Construction Support, with the delivery of project pipes, during the installation operations carried out by Saipem. Work is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025 and will last several months, including operational options.
The BGUP project

The BGUP project represents one of the most significant offshore initiatives in North Africa and aims to develop the associated gas from the Bouri field, located off the coast of Libya. The project involves the installation of a new gas recovery module, along with a series of modernization and enhancement projects for existing facilities.

With this award, Next Geosolutions strengthens its presence in the oil and gas sector, a significant step in its strategy to diversify and strengthen its operations in the key energy sectors, as announced last July with the acquisition of Rana Subsea in early September.
A contract of Rana Subsea
Rana Subsea recently signed a contract with Saipem, within the same project (Bouri Gas Utilization), for specialized subsea services and installation support activities (Installation Operations and Diving Activities). The contract is worth approximately €62.6 million, plus possible options, and extends through the second quarter of 2026.
